My primary camera doesn't focus on subjects on a distance. The issue seems to go away if I shake/tap the phone. It appeared after the last software update. Does anyone else face the same issue?

Maybe try going into your camera settings and click on > reset settings<. That may help.

Tried all those, resetted the whole phone ,still the same. Meanwhile I did some research on internet forums and there are many reports of similar cases. :(

I have the s21ultra as well. My last software update was on the 1st October, I haven't had problems with my camera, hope it stays that way too.
Sorry to hear you are having problems.
You may have to contact Samsung and they may be able to talk you through it to fix it @NameX13

I've visited samsung and they think it's a faulty hardware. They've recommended me to an authorised service centre.

Hi @NameX13, 

I also suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further. 

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > Camera > describe issue and frequency > Attach short video of the focus issue > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

Thanks for clarifying @NameX13, hopefully the ASC is able to resolve the issue for you. If not, do send through that error report with the screen recording attached when you get a chance.

They replaced the camera unit and its working 🙂. But now I can't access samsung members app from that device, it shows samsung members is not supported in this country 😢
