I still haven't received my $460 trade-up charge refund, despite canceling the order. It's been 20 days of chasing after this, and every Samsung representative I've spoken to says they can escalate the issue to Asurion, as it's a different team. I only received an email from Asurion after discussing the matter with Samsung. Getting my money back has been a cumbersome process. Furthermore, Asurion informed me that, based on their review, there was no security deposit charge associated with my Trade-up ID. I even had to email them my receipt, but I still haven't received a response.

Not just that.... they said they don't have the record of charging with my trade ID, but the money has been taken. So, I had to provide my bank receipt to them. No response about it yet. Don't understand why the customer can directly have a conversation with Ausrion.

It's becoming a horrible state of affairs dealing with Samsung customer service , sorry to say guys , in the same boat sent my device in for $415 trade in quote and haven't heard back since , other than a threat email from Asurion informing me if the device isn't recieved in 24 hours $60 late fee will be applied !!! Though funny part it's always a no-reply email , good on Samsung , thanks again aye , NOT!!!

I thought they place a hold with the bank so the amount sits in limbo so they don't have and you don't have it. Once they receive the device it should force the money back into your bank. If they don't receive the device they usually try chace you up for a tracking number as proof you sent it, after a few months they will request the money from the bank due to non return of trade in Device. That's how I thought it worked anyways

I cancelled my order one day after because I got the new phone as a present. The money is not in pending that it was withdrawn after pending status for 3 days. So money is already transferred to Ausrion. They confirmed me that the cancellation has been processed successfully.
