Why do other Android phones have the option under NFC to "require device unlock for NFC" but Samsung phones don't have this option?

Please Samsung make this option available on your phones to increase the security of it so that if someone steals your phone or you lose it then they can't use the NFC to pay for things.

It has. Atleast my s23 requires phone to be unlocked to pay. It doesn't pay until I unlock my phone

If you use Samsung Pay (from when I last used it) yes it does require you to unlock the phone.

If you use Google Pay though all you need to do is wake the phone (without unlocking) and you can tap and pay.

That's just asking you to set it up for larger purchases because for instance if I try and purchase something over $100 or is it $200 it will ask for the pin however for anything under that it won't.

I don't know why your comment comes on top. What you are saying only applicable to Samsung pay. I use Google wallet in 2024 and it's doesn't require to unlock the phone.

I can just tap and pay.. This is an issue for me.

I've just tried it.

I need to unlock my phone to pay. I used pin and fingerprint as security.

I can't choose google wallet to pay, until I've unlocked my phone.
