I have an old S9 that I cant remember the pin to when you first start up your phone (Black screen with your phone is encrypted for security. To start up your device, enter your pin'.

(Just smashed my S20 by dropping it. Yes Insurance. Need a backup)

I don't know my pin (work would make me change it all the time-lesson learned) and I have tried find my mobile but even with my current sim card in it, it would unlock or even find it.

I really really REALLY do not want to factory reset.

Please tell me there's a work around.

Yeah you'd have to reset if you forgot your pin. (Did you set up fingerprint?)

You'll need to remember your google account password though, otherwise you'll be FRP locked.

Since its encrypted and you can't remember the pin, the only option is to factory reset.

It would not be good security jf there was a "work around" that is the whole point of device security.

Sorry but a factory reset is your ONLY option.

Hi @D33Kay as other users have mentioned, you will need to factory reset your phone if you've forgotten your password. Please note that Google further protects the device with an FRP lock, so you will be prompted to enter the Google account details that were last used on the S9.
