I am experiencing serious problems with my A15. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy A15, soon after setting up the phone I noticed the screen started to jitter, then apps would open by them selves, it was like something was controlling the phone, the gallery would open up and then photographs would be deleted one by one, then another apps would open up, some times ony on half of the screen, then what you see on the screen would continue to flicker and jitter, it's just horrendous and you have no control over the phone, even trying to restart it was a nightmare, when you can finally restart the phone it will temporarily settle down and then this happens all over again after an hour or two. I returned the phone to the place of purchase I received another new Galaxy 15, it did the same thing. I took the second phone into an authorised Samsung repair agent they could not find anything physically wrong with the phone's hardware, they reinstalled the firmware hoping that may be a fix, however within 24 hours of receiving the phone, again it started to display the same problems, this phone is an absolute disaster, over the last two weeks I've spent countless hours setting up the phone three times. After owning approximately five Samsung smart phones prior, with little to no problems, I now have totally lost confidence with the Samsung brand.

I hope I'm not too late on this, I was having a similar problem with my A15 that I got in April. If you're getting a pop up on your lock screen that says the screen isn't optimized for the latest version of Android, clearing the cache for Google Play Services fixes the problem. I don't know why it does, but since I've done that, I haven't had any issues.

I / We have the same problem - it occurs on 2 Samsung A15 5G models. Retailer (Argos in UK) very unhelpful. Tin cans and string is the way forward!

Yep, my wife got a new phone from Tesco Mobile a few days ago after visiting the shop since her older Samsung was not working properly. We have both had low level Samsungs for a few years now. After a few days the Samsung A15 was returned and replaced with a new Samsung A15 which has the same problems. Both phones are suffering with the same problems as have been described here - jittering, locking up, half screens etc. Just totally unreliable so took the phone back to Tesco for the second time. They had never heard of the problems. Their answer is get a newer more expensive Samsung on a more expensive contract which is hardly acceptable. Waiting for a call back from Tesco Support.

I got my a15 towards the end of October and its was doing everything perfectly until maybe the middle of January where i was on the lock screen and the image was just jittering pull down the drop down menu, or swiping down and trying to write my pin but only typing the random numbers. It was an absolute nightmare and sometimes it would go as far to do it for over an hour! It wouldnt even let me turn the device off as you need to write your pin after the power button option to turn the device but the phone would just get rid of it. No idea if this is a similar issue to yours but i have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas?

I had exactly the same problem this evening. The phone is 13 months old. I did a hardware reset by holding in the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds and that did a hardware reset. The phone started up normally and worked fine. Fingers crossed the problem won't recur. It's as though the touch screen connector might have a bad connection, generating false input. I had the phone in my back pocket for around ten minutes, but the extra heat shouldn't have been a problem and I didn't sit on the phone.
