Galaxy AHi @papasnail, the “Other” tab houses files which users have saved to a Secure Folder, and the Android/data folder which includes the device’s Operating System. The Android/data folder cannot be accessed on the handset using My Files, however it can be accessed by connecting your mobile device to a computer via USB.

Galaxy AI deleted the secure folder on 6/7/21. there is not enough storage room to download smart switch to connect with a computer.

Galaxy AHi @papasnail, when you go to settings > device care > storage > advanced > Internal shared storage, does any particular category stand out as something you don't use?
You may need to go through your apps individually and uninstall.
With apps, some may store data into your device, whereas others may be stored into a cloud. When deleting, make sure to check if these are backed up.
Additionally, please send us an error report via the Samsung Members app so that our team can look into this further.
Samsung Members > Get Help > Error report > issue category > description > tick 'send log data' > send

Galaxy Aall apps are listed including those tfrd to the SD card. when the card is removed, the apps still appear but are greyed and not accessible.
p.s. the only apps on the phone are the ones that came originally.

Galaxy AWOW ... that is truly pathetic. I have the same problem, and now its 2022.
All I can see here is a long list of repetitive and unhelpful emails addressing the same problem which was previously raised by other Samsung users without getting a resolution. Does Samsung actually kick into gear at some time to find solutions? I feel like 10GB of missing data storage, which is then crippling an expensive device, should be a concern to the manufacturer. And yet there is just this banter from "Moderators" who don't seem to know any more than the rest of us.
