I've owned my galaxy a52s 5G for a few weeks now, it's a great device and I'm really enjoying it as it's a huge step up from my old phone, while using my device I've noticed that occasionally my system sounds won't be played for a short period and instead will be played all at once when they eventually come through, its already done this once while typing this post. I've also noticed the occasional freezing of applications such as messenger, instagram. And even SystemUI. Especially when taking screenshots.

I'm wondering if this is a known issue that multiple people are having or if this is just me? Does Samsung know of the issue? Do they plan on fixing it in a coming update? I'm aware this is a relatively new device and bugs are expected, I just want to know when I can expect to not face this issue any more.

Edit: I've just updated to the latest system update, I'll update this post again after a few days of use. Hoping most issues outlined in this post have been fixed

Update: After the recent oneUI update all of my issues had disappeared, but these last few days they have all come back and I even eperienced samsung pay not allowing me to unlock my card to pay for things.

Hi @adsnipers, that's strange. Hopefully the update prevents this from occurring in the future.

If you are experiencing lag on your device, I suggest these steps to clear up your device cache:

1. Restart it occasionally, this is the surefire way to close down any background processes your phone may be running.

2. Close background apps. Using your navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, click the | | | button, and close the apps you are no longer using.

*note: Do not close if you are in the middle of running a background process such as updating or backing up an app.

3. Go to Settings > Device Care > Optimise to free up more of your memory and prevent your device slowing down.

If you continue to experience this issue after the above steps, I suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

Hope this was helpful :)

Hi @Adsnipers, thank you for sending that through. I will let the team know to keep an eye out for your error report.

That sudden freezing bug is the result of updating to Android 12. I have experienced it myself.

Don't have Android 12 here yet, and when this was posted Android 12 wasnt released yet I don't think. The issue was resolved for me shortly after submitting an error report. I'd recommend doing the same
