I am trying to send a friend 6 pictures I have taken with my phone.
I have used the "compress" built into the phone.

But everytime I try and share the now compressed pictures my A53 gives me an error NOT SUPPORTED

The app I am using to share the pictures is Samsungs own messaging app, which I prefer.

So, I'm like really Samsung?? I mean *** I am using two apps developed by you and they're incompatible? Really?

I have done a full screen recording for reference if Samsung request it

Messages (RCS or MMS) only support image formats, not compressed formats. You might have to send individually or use Quickshare (they can access with the Quickshare link even if not on galaxy/android device).

Ps- can't wait for season 3 of Silo!

Weird.. my reply is getting deleted.

You can search "Send & share files in Google Chat messages" in Google to see the file types Google Messages is supporting.

My comment is being deleted if I'm attaching the link.

Have also tried sharing it instead via Gallery app?

Gallery > select pics > Share > select Google Messages. Let us know if it works.

I don't like the Google app, I prefer to use the Samsung messages, and I'm not looking to change.

Ohh my bad. I thought you're using Google Messages. 😅

Anyway, have you tried sending it via share instead of directly in the app?

lol, it's good, isn't it?

The only reason I tried the compression is because I could only attach 1 picture. , and while texts are free these days (I could send them individually) but I don't want to bog down someones phone

Do you still have the original full size versions? Several things to consider.

First, when saving to Google Drive, depending on your settings Google Drive either saves files full-size or reduced size, if the latter then that reduced size may be sufficient. Secondly read up (Google) setting up Google Drive for external access for recipient to download via a link (same in Dropbox, I think base version Dopbox may be free).

Whenever I try to use Quickshare it locks up my phone, and I have to close the app. So I tend not to use it

I didn't know Google Drive could reduce file sizes, *** you learn something every day
