Has anyone come across an issue where you cannot send a message to just one person. I can send a text to everyone else in my contact on samsung galaxy A51 except one number. I used to be able to text them but the issue has persisted for a month. The send button us just greyed out.
The number has not got me blocked on their end as they can still message and call me. I can still make outbound calls to this number too. I have contacted my service provider and they have not been able to resolve the issue.
Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Hi all. I managed to solve my issue by taking the SIM card out of my phone and putting it back in. It must of reset some settings and i can text the person again
One thing to try, when you set up a new account it is saved to one of several places (first, check in Contact settings if your's are synchronised this may solve the problem). In my case I can save to my Google account, my Samsung account, my phone, and, I believe, to my sim card (I have a dual sim phone so I seem to be able to choose either). One option is to delete the existing account through the Contacts app and create a new one. When you create a new one if when starting the entry you slide down from the top you will see where it is being stored and, as it has drop down box you can choose if you want to change this. Bonus, by using Google as default and synchronising I can access all my contacts when I log in to gmail on the web when using another computer.
I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. Have you been able to sort it out? The only workaround I have found so far is to use Google messaging app instead of Samsung messaging app to send text messages to that person. But I am unhappy with this as I like Samsung app much more.
Hi @Yann_ that's odd. If checking whether you are blocked from the other user did not work, I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.
To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.
I recently started having the exact same problem on my Galaxy S20 FE. The person I cannot text is the person I would text most. If I restart the phone, it works for a couple of texts, then stops working again. I wonder if it might be a memory issue after updating...

I'm having the same issue. The recipient has deleted me and reinserted my contact and i have done the same for him. He can now text me, however i cannot sent text to him. Normal calling still works. I have removed sim, restarted phone, checked no blocked or spam settings enabled. Please help.
