I'm using an old TabA Galaxy, model SM-T550. A while back I had a major issue where the Tab was unusable and would instantly close any window I opened, so I had to do a factory reset, however I bought a new Galaxy Tab A9+ and was able to copy everything from old Tab to New Tab.

The only files I was unable to access and copy to new Tab A9+ were stored in PRIVATE MODE.

After factory reset I restored everything from new Tab A9+ to old TabA. I figure files hidden in PRIVATE MODE were not transferred bc the new Tab A9+ doesn't have this feature.

Before I did a factory reset on old TabA I had a password on PRIVATE MODE, but now it asks for a PIN and won't accept my log PIN I use to access TabA.

I'm unable to use PRIVATE MODE at all bc I don't know PIN and there is no option to reset.

If you reset the tab you will lose everything in Secure folder.

Nah, you lose anything in the secure folder. If you factory reset, you can only copy if you take the files out of the secure folder, then copy.
Found out the hard way never used secure folder since.

Taking the files out of private more or secure folder was my plan but it was impossible to do so.

I even tried taking it to repair stores to fix it but they were unable and incompetent to help.

Private mode or secure folder is still very useful IMO.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I figured I would lose everything in private mode, but I had no other option as I was unable to access the files saved in private mode.

I accepted the fact the files were lost, but I expected to be able to start using private mode again. It's locked me out.

Thanks for your response.

I've considered this as a possible solution. I've already done a factory reset, as mentioned and it was tedious but completely necessary to fix an unusable TabA. Not sure if I could be bothered trying this, only to find it still hasn't resolved the issue.

Thanks for your suggestion.
