The only design changes I've noticed were on the lock screen and I hate every single one of them. If I could, I would unupdate my phone just to get back the old design. I honestly don't care one bit about any of the other features, I just want the old lock screen layout/design back.
The update moved everything on the lock screen around, forcing me out of my regular routine (I can't think of the correct word to put here!) of checking notifications
If you press and hold the lock screen before unlocking your phone, unlock your phone, you should get an 'edit lock screen' menu. From there, if you tap on the clock, then press and hold, and move it around, you should be able to move your notification and clock to anywhere on the screen.
