Is there anyone who have an idea how can I resolve this messenger bug issues? As you can see all notification chat settings are allowed, but as observed I am not receiving any notifications from the application itself. Already contacted samsung about this but it seems that the application had been bugging since then and the phone hasn't any problem at all. Also I'm not receiving any notifications from the notification panel. This is so bothersome, as a student who needs to know real-time updates from my school. How do I fix this?

Hey t12,

Totally get your frustration here. It seems that the Messenger app has been dealing with issues regarding their notifications lately -- some Members have reported, for example, their Messenger notifications refusing to be deleted. Your case, however, is the first I've seen for the day 😅

Try M370_melo's advice and reinstall Messenger. Sometimes just resetting things fixes a lot of issues caused by updates and the like.

Have you tried to report the problem within the app itself? You can see that option inside the settings or just by shaking the phone while you're within the app if that function is already activated. You can opt to include your phone logs to be included with the report.Screenshot_20230621_171235_Messenger.jpg

Yes. And they aren't responding to any of it.

Booth FB and messenger does not respond to any technical reports by any kind of message or notification that they received the report. Usually the response is through an upadate of the app a few days after, sometimes it fixes the bug, sometimes it does nothing and brings in more bugs 😅.

Try this,
1) Make sure the messenger app is updated
2) Set the battery usage for messenger app to Unrestricted
3) Put the messenger app to Excluded apps and Never Sleeping apps in Device Care settings
4) Restart your phone
