Samsung,

Last evening my Galaxy A55 downloaded and installed an update sent by your 'geeks'.  Today, some many differences in layout and settings.  Did I ask or authorise these to occur?  Was I asked if I wanted to change settings etc because someone releasing the updates feels it's an improvement or better?  Please just remember that I paid you for and own the phone, you just provide the operating system.  Please at least add a courtesy screen advising expected changes and asking if I want them to be made or if I prefer for the existing operating environment to continue.  Really VERY annoying, especially as I did not request the operating changes to be made to MY phone.

By downloading the update you said yes. If you don't want updates to automatically download turn it off and make your choice. The update is only an improvement. Persevere, adjust and you'll be fine. But don't curse Samsung for improving their products. Don't blame for your choice not to control a situation. If you're on Samsung members more often you would've know what to expect. There are things i don't like about One UI7. But its in your settings to change that. I found them an did it. Now its your turn to not be lazy and do things for yourself and not expect a large company catering to millions to put aside stuff just for you and you alone

Thanks Froglette .... best to avoid lecturing people .... it's unhelpful and really unnecessary. I have no problem with Samsung upgrading the safety and operational integrity if its product which is in the background. I have a lot of problem with Samsung changing the interface which I need to use to operate the phone. They dont ask a series of authorisation for the components of the upgrade, I either accept changes I dont want or I dont get safety and software upgrades I do want. I reiterate, Samsung change setting on my phone without asking eg changing screen timeout timing and others. These have nothing to do with me acception upgrades to the operating system AND it illustrates my reason for making submission, separately seek my approval to change settings and interface or separate them into a separate upgrade that doesnt bundle them with essentials. Oh, and I don't want to spend my time and effort retracing settings to change them back to where I set them before Samsung changed them.

Raise a request through;
* Members App > Support > Send feedback

It will go straight to the developers (and your best shot to resolve) 🙏

The good thing is you already have the content to copy and paste right here 😊

Its v we ryy necessary to getvSamsung to understand they have an issue which requires consixeration and a potential fix in the future. Roll out upgrades to softward but do not effect unasked for changes to personally adopted interfaces. It's not your phone.

Well sorry, this is how just software updates work. You downloaded, you Authorised.

It is also for security.

And, yes they own the operating system which is why they are upgrading it.

It's not someone who feels like it's better, it's the majority of the community.

Everyone needs time to adjust to new things.

I have not complained about upgrading of the operating system, my complaint relates to Samsung geeks deciding how my interface should look without referring to me specifically for suthority. Enough to make me change to Apple.
