I recently embarked on an exciting project to transform my old Samsung S22 Ultra into a dedicated travel and casual camera. While I plan to share more about this transformation in an upcoming post, I wanted to give you a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes process of capturing some of the shots for this project using my Z Fold 6.
Setting the Scene
To create a visually appealing backdrop, I used a faux leather mouse pad that I purchased from Daiso for just $9. The texture and color of the pad provided a subtle yet stylish background that complemented the sleek design of the S22 Ultra.
To add depth to the shot, I used my Samsung Battery bank as a stand. This not only elevated the phone but also created a nice separation between the backdrop and the props, giving the image a more dynamic feel.
The Props and Their Significance
I wanted the props to tell a story about the functionalities and versatility of the S22 Ultra. Here's a breakdown of the props I used and what they represent:
1. The 3 Lenses: I placed three different lenses around the phone to highlight its versatile camera capabilities—Wide, Tele, and Long Tele Lens.
2. Wallet: A nod to Samsung Wallet, showcasing how the S22 Ultra can be used for seamless transactions.
3. Photos: Representing the photo album, emphasizing the phone's excellent photo storage and viewing capabilities.
4. Notebook: A symbol for S-Notes, highlighting the phone's note-taking and productivity features.
5. Watch: Representing the Time/Clock functionality, essential for any device.
6. Buds Pro 2: Symbolising the phone's music and audio capabilities, perfect for music lovers on the go.
Enhancing the Ergonomics
To enhance the shooting experience with the S22 Ultra, I attached a Camera Grip with a removable shutter button. This accessory not only makes the phone easier to handle but also allows for more precise control when taking photos.
