Galaxy SThat's strange, @Scottik1962. I would recommend resetting your keyboard settings. To do this follow these steps:
Go to Settings > General management > Language and input > On screen keyboard > Samsung keyboard > Reset to default settings > tap on Reset keyboard settings and Erase personalised predictions.
Please note that this will enable Predictive text, which you can disable in (Smart typing).
Hope this helps! :)

Galaxy SHad the same issue. Was caused by accidently saving a selection of miss typed wording. Added the extra G to every word ending in G since, but mostly gerunds.
So to Fix: go to your settings and select "General Management." Next go to "Keyboard list and default," and select it. Under the ALL list, select the keyboard you are using (ex. Samsung Keyboard-English US). Next, go down to "Reset to default settings". Now, under this menu.....select the "Reset keyboard settings." Should clear up all the extra G getting g added....just kidding, I added that extra G on purpose just now.
Hope this works for you, BE Kind!!!
PS. Alt method, when keyboard is up in the text window, on the toolbar select the Gear icon for settings , this takes you straight to the settings for the active keyboard.

Galaxy SIs this a serious solution? It is obvious a widespread issue.
I have 2 different modem Samsung phones and they both do the same thing.
One is fully customized and the other 1 has no customization at all. They both do the same thing. Having to reset as a solution is ridiculous

Galaxy SHi @Fyebra, the steps provided above will not reset your whole phone, only the keyboard app.
This can clear the cache of your keyboard in case any typos have been saved.
