Black screen with clock and notification icon, when you wake the phone

When I wake up my phone, I am always greeted with this black screen with just clock, date and notification icons. Always-on display is off. Why it not wakes to the lock screen? I have to tab on the screen again to show the lock screen. Is this normal? How do I disable this?

Try holding the volume down button and the power button simultaneously. That will force restart your phone.

It looks like some sort of app. Do you have any AOD (always on display) apps installed?

Yeah looks like a 3rd party app you may have installed or activated. Deleting or disabling that specific function should get rid of this.
