Galaxy S100%. The appeal of Android for me has been that we can customize various aspects of it to match our use. What's crazy to me is that we've all built up muscle memory using features, swipes, gestures repeated hundreds or thousands of times and to make these type of changes without a way to retain the classic style is so dumb.
Even now, you can only see around three app icons at the top left of the screen, then there's a small dot to indicate that more app icons or notifications are available, necessitating me to have to swipe to see the rest when there is enough space to show more app icons so I can see if anything is actionable or not.

Galaxy SI don't want to do that.
Prior to UI 7, I could just glance at the screen to know the state. Now I must perform extra steps many, many times per day.
By all means, make the new way a default, but please give us the option to have peristent icons for the ones we want.

Galaxy SAgree 100%. I can barely understand the decision on the BT icon, but not having the alarm clock icon seems just absurd
