Since it's ECQ, I can't go out to Samsung store to buy their official 25 watt charger. But I do have a gan 65 watt one.

Is it safe to use? Or at least my note 9 charger?

Please help, thank you!

If it has the same watts capacity, yes. But if it's higher than the original, no. To prevent battery enlargement.

Using one on my s21u. It's a Baseus brand and it can do super fast charging even with a 15" lapie plugged in

I think f the charger is original even if 65 watt phone automatically accept 25 watt.it only what they need.

Yep. That's why you can use the charging bricks from the S20/Note series (45w) on the current ones (25w). It won't charge at 45w but max outs at 25w, per the phone's design. Quality gan chargers do the same as they have built in chips (SIC) for this and other safety features. I chose Baseus as they're certified by Intertech, a 3rd party auditor much like TUV, etc. I'd be wary of cheap ones though

I'd be cautious in using non-Samsung adapters, especially the ones with higher wattage as it might not be healthy for the battery in the long run.

The non samsung chargers you can get that work are USB-C PPS chargers. The GAN chargers will work but won't charge full speed for samsung if it's not PPS certified.

I bought one (100w) via Lazada and it charges the full 45w. Just search USB C PPS (programmable power supply). I also tested using a USB-C voltage reader and it gives the correct voltage. Even if it's a higher wattage charger as long as it's USB C PPS, it works perfectly.

Android authority also wrote an article on this. Google electjet 45w Android authority and you'll see. Here's the link for reference.

Oh thank you for this! I guess my gan charger won't work then. This is the one I have right now - https://www.baseusworld.com/products/baseus-65w-gan-fast-charger-qc-4-0-3-0-usb-type-c-pd

I guess I'll just use my note 9 until I can get an official one. Thanks thanks!

This is the only one I found from lazada currently - https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.X8FdO - no elecjet.

Samsung official chargers from their official online store out of stock too.

I'm using that Baseus charger but with a US/retractable plug instead. See my other responses on this thread so you can have an informed decision on using your existing charger

PPS is just one of the charging standards. Quick charge (QC) is another and yet another one is Power delivery (PD). The S21 series supports QC 3.0 for super fast charging and 2.0 for fast charging, from here: https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-and-charge-galaxy-s21-series/ . So it's not just PPS compatible chargers you're looking for. QC and PD will do too
