Hi,
I have problem with my s23 ultra. Every now and then i cant adjust the volume. I have tried removing the case thinking its the case but no good. I have not damaged the phone. I have also tried turned off the media volume limit.
All this happened within the first month of purchase. Took it back to samsung store parramatta and they advised taking it to repair centre which is absoulty rubbish because the phone wasn't even 1 month old,( last time I will buy phone from samsung).
I need the phone and cant afford not having the phone for how ever long it takes to fix the phone. They will most likely factory reset the phone anyways which i did myself.
I performed factory reset the phone but it started to happen again after few days.
I have to restart the phone every time it happens to fix it temporarily.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Any help will be appreciated

I don't have an s23 so my settings aren't the same. When ai go to Settings, Sound, Volume I see 4 options e.g. ringtone, media, etc. these are for default settings. When you change phone call volume while on a call this only changes volume for that call. In that same area, if you haven't found it is the option to use volume keys for media. If you haven't been using these options then try them in case it makes a difference. If you haven't Googled do so as you get many more answers there. You get even more answers if you Google "android" instead of Samsung. If it happens again after a few days consider regularly clearing the cache for the phone app as a temporary fix. You will lose phone settings so consider ensuring all your phone numbers are stored in Contacts (may or may not work). To clear cache go to Settings, Apps, find Phone app, look at Storage and find clear cache. If you think it is the phone app remember being an android there are options. Go to Play Store, look for phone apps e.g. Google Phone. When installing one go back to the original phone app and apply Force Stop (also found in Storage). Restart. You will have to do this each time you accidentally touch the old phone icon as that opens it again.

Hi Martin
I would like to know more about it, and will be happy to provide any type of resolution as possible.

Please add any screenshots as well for reference. What do you mean by cannot adjust the volume?

Hello

I have attached a video of the issue below. So when i use the buttons to (in this case) decrease the volume it will not allow me.

Looks like the previous upload didnt work. So i will provide the link to the video.
Basically when i press the buttons to adjust the volume, the volume changes for couple of seconds but changes back to what it was. The video hopefully explains everything.

Thank You Martin. Really appreciate it.
Seems like volume impressions are triggered by some means.

- Please test by disabling the volume keys from the settings. (Image attached)

- Second test by disabling media volume limit. ( image attached)

- Third test to ensure your software is upto date to the lastest build and to have system diagnostics : Go to Device Care -> Diagnostic -> Choose required diagnostic for the same (Image attached)

If you think disabling keys works in this case, then it could be keys are actively pressed due to some means (hardware side)

Let me know how it goes I'll be awaiting for your response.Screenshot_20230328_150310_Settings.jpgScreenshot_20230328_150441_Settings.jpgScreenshot_20230328_151630_Samsung Members.jpg
