Galaxy SHi, I am needing a separate sim for a new job I am starting, and rather than carry two phones (one work, one personal), I am looking at dual SIM options. I am also needing a new phone and was looking at the Galaxy S24. One concern/question I have is whether Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) works on the Galaxy S24, or whether it is just Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)? Difference being with DSDA both SIMS can be active at the same time, i.e. receive calls and data from both sims simultaneously using DSDA, vs having to nominate a SIM for calls/SMS, and nominate one for data. Also looking to confirm whether this needs to be done with one physical SIM and one e-sim, i.e. not possible to do with 2 physical SIMs.
Thanks for the help!

Galaxy SOne caution is to check that your isp supports esim. Obviously the major ones do, Telstra, Optus, presumably Vodafone. Haven't checked which resellers do but Amaysim (Optus), and Boost (Telstra) do.
Also check whether wi-fi calling is available, to understand this Google, as an example, "Telstra wi-fi calling".Optus and Amaysim has it, as does Telstra and Boost.
Coverage. If best rural coverage is important Telstra is best and Boost also has full Telstra coverage. Other Telstra resellers, Aldi, Belong, etc. don't. When overseas Telstra and Boost have wi-fi calling, Optus and their resellers don't. If calling overseas some Boost agreements have various agreements including those with 20+ free countries calling to specific group of countries and other free calls to other countries for up to, as an example 1200 minutes in full year.
Esim. S24 you can, in addition to sim have multiple esim numbers but only one active esim at a time. Easy to switch to another esim but then you have to pay for multiple phone plans or buy a short term esim for a specific short period like visiting Europe.
If you for some reason end up with a dual sim phone and no esim, and want it, Google "esim.me", they literally have a physical card (allow mailing time) similar to a sim card which converts that sim slot to esim capability, again, multiple esims allowed depending which esim.me option you buy. but only one at a time. Can be used in a single sim phone but only one connection active at a time.
Roaming, too many options available to describe, buy as add-ons.
