Galaxy SHi!
I`d like to know if it is possible to make Back Button to close apps when exiting them?
Now, every time when I exit any app, I have to tap Back button, then open Recents and then swipe off given app. It`s needlessly long process for such simple and common action.
Right now, Home and Back buttons share the same action - they minimalize app and open Home screen. I`d like to give Back button power to close apps, so I can: tap Home to exit app and minimalize it OR tap Back to exit app and close it*.
It`s frustrating, how quickly there`re so many apps running in the background and sucking out battery life, because there`s no option to exit and close them at the same time.
I`d love some advice on that. ❤️
Thank you in advance!
*Of course while app is open, Back button will, (well) bring you back through the app. But finally (after 2 or more taps) it will bring you to "home screen" of the app and that`s the moment, when Back button could bring you to phone`s Home screen and at the same time close the app instead of minimalizing it.

Galaxy SThanks! I`ll definetly start doing this. :)
But it still requires you to: tap Recents-> swipe app off -> tap Home.
It`s a little bit quicker, but I`d still prefer to quickly tap Back (more on less) 3 times to get the same result. 😅
(And personally - I have a really small hand and can`t reach Recents button with my thumb - I have to use my other hand to tap it. So it`s unnecesary hustle for me and I`d love to use only Back button.)

Galaxy SI know what you mean about the small hands too. You can swap the back and recent buttons over if that makes it easier but possible not depending on how often you use the back button.
You can also swipe the back and recent buttons from the side rather than the bottom although I'd imagine this would probably be harder to achieve hahaha.

Galaxy SOch, with Amazon I`d just exit the app with Recents, because "Backing" out of it wouldn`t make any sense. 😄
I`ve tried those combinations but they doesn`t help...
I know there`s an option called "One-handed mode" which makes shown screen smaller (from 6,1 inch to 5,1), but I don`t like that option, because:
1. I feel stupid to pay for whole screen and then use only portion of it.
2. It doesn`t help me that much, because whole smartphone is still too big for my hand so I still can`t reach too far with my thumb (as I would be able to with smaller phone with 5,1 screen).
So it`s a kind of solution, but it really doesn`t do that much to help when whole phone is just too big for you.
But it`s another story with big sizes of smartphones nowadays... And I know, there`s nothing I can do with that. :(
Now I try to at least make my Back button to close apps. xP

Galaxy SThe only apps that run in the background and chew through battery are instagram Facebook and tik toc in my experience as they are always downloading content.
I installed them both IG and TT on the same day watched 2 video's short ones then minimised it had to charge my phone 2 hours later it went from 100% to 15%
So I deleted them both
Oh if you want to close a app one handed swap hands to use the recents button
