Hi, I'm getting daily notifications that some features of my S24 have updates available and that I need to choose downloading them via WIFI or Data. These updates are for features that I only VERY rarely utilise or else have absolutely no need for. This latest update totals 3.6 GB.
How can I stop these intrusive and nagging notifications from showing up?

The latest update is one ui 7. As this also contains security patches etc, I would highly recommend you install it. One of my mates didn't update from One ui 5 until a few days ago (s21), he was running security patches from a few years ago!

Thanks but I'm currently running on UI 7.

Are you? Could you send a screenshot of the update details? Generally speaking though, you should be installing updates asap for security purposes.

Hi Mickseth,

As SamsungDeviceLiker has mentioned, it is highly suggested that you download and install the updates as they are security patches.

There isn't currently an option to completely remove the update notifications but I can run you through on removing them from your notification bar when you receive the update reminders.

Go into your settings, scroll down until you see 'Software Update', click into 'Download and install' and then click 'Later' - this should remove it as a reminder and from your notifications. You can also turn off Auto-update within this sub-page.

Hope this helps.

Use nicecatch, part of the goodlock apps. It will record any interactions that cause an action or reaction on the phone...
