Galaxy SThe navigation bar is a tool on your Galaxy device that lets you access your home screen or recent tabs quickly, easily and intuitively. Occasionally, the navigation bar may be hidden. To edit, hide or show it, follow the steps below
On your Galaxy device, you will have a bar with three shortcuts. This is called the Navigation bar. Through it you can access three options by tapping on three different buttons:
- Recent button.
- Home screen button.
- Back button.
Swipe gestures
You may even wish to hide the navigation bar if you can't get used to it by choosing the Swipe gestures option. This replaces the buttons with swipe gestures on your screen.
To use Swipe gestures or turn on the navigation bar again, follow these steps:
Step 1. Open the Settings menu and tap Display.
Step 2. Scroll down to the Navigation bar option and tap on it.
Step 3. You can choose between Buttons and Swipe gestures. If you want to see the navigation bar on your screen, select the Buttons option.
Can I change the order of my navigation buttons?
If you want to change the order of your navigation bar buttons, follow these steps:
Step 1. Repeat the above steps to access the Navigation bar menu.
Step 2. With the Buttons option selected, scroll down to the bottom of the screen. In the Button order menu, choose the navigation bar type you prefer.
You can choose between two different layouts:
- Recent button – Home screen button – Back button.
- Back button – Home screen button – Recent button.
