Galaxy SHere are two things to try
1. Google ISP name (e.g. Telstra) message settings and turn individual settings off and on.
2. Clear the cache for the phone app. Go to Settings, Apps, scroll to Phone, open and look for Storage, find Clear Cache. Restart. You will lose your app settings so ensure phone numbers are stored elsewhere, possibly Contacts? or ensure contacts are synced to your Google/gmail account.

Galaxy SWhilst trying the things mentioned by @Troubadour can I also suggest sending an error report to Samsung, via the Members app.
To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Galaxy SUI software might not be as good at receiving incoming phone callsas before the update. To check this go to Settings, About Phone (at the bottom), SIM card status, Signal strenngth, the larger the minus amount the better. My personal guideline -60 dBm, great, minus -100 getting poor ( I am on 4G). so the phone call may be having trouble getting through. 3G travels far, 4G travels a lesser distance 5G shorter again. Also if the signal is weak your phone might be switching between the two and losing connection. Try locking your network connection to 4G/LTE. Settings, Connections, SIM card manager,ISP namme, Network mode. See if that improves the situation. If you want to check your coverage load an app called Aus Phone Towers and play with the drag in menu on the keft side.
I won't go into it here but if still problems we will look at Access Point nNames under Mobile Networks .
Now, something not relevant to fixing the problem but gets more calls through. Google ISP name wi-fi calling (you may have it already). Instead of using the cell tower it uses your broadband and wi-fi network to receive calls if the quality of the call is better than the cell tower signal.

Galaxy SI'm on a S20+ which was working fine untill latest update.
My job is IT support so I get calls from customers 24x7, 365.
I know it's the latest firmware that has caused the issue, as as soon as I updated my phone straight away it was noticible that I was missing calls.
I know Samsung doesn't like customers keeping they're old phones but I think the S20+ is a perfect phone and I'm very happy with it. And obviously I"M NOT GOING TO SPLASH $2k to change to a new model which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to offer me.
So it is obvious that this is done on purpose.
