Hello,

On my s22 I was able to alter the settings to allow messenger notifications on the lock screen to show who the message was from but not the content. Im unable to work out how to do this on the s26 ultra. Any help would be appreciated please.

Thanks,

Amy

I have the settings like this but unfortunately it either shows all the detail (who its from and content of the message) or none at all. For privacy id like only the persons name which is what I had on my S22

Hi. Are you referring to Facebook Messenger? If so, it's under settings, notifications, then app settings. Then just scroll until you find Messenger and click on it, and this should come up. Then you can change it from there. Or you can also long-press on the Messenger app and click on the little "i" icon in the top right corner to get to the settings.1774952501146.jpg1774952501158.jpg

Yes Facebook messenger. I have done this but it only allows either name/content or none. I would like just name and not content for privacy reasons. Strange I matched the settings to my s22 but got different results

Tried Widgets?

I could only find 1 messenger widget and it didn't seem to be anything to do with displaying messages

Thanks anyway but doesn't help the issue im having sorry. I want to be able to glace at my lock screen to see WHO messaged me but not WHAT they messaged if that makes sense. That way I can know at work if its urgent and I need to open it. But I don't want people seeing what the content of my messages are. Strange the s22 did it but not s26

Hi @Amy11223344,

I believe that the notification behaviour changed with the Google OS update - it is either all or nothing for the notifications.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Warm regards,
Samsung Sonny
