💬 Personal Project Time! 📸
👉 I've always loved the idea of being able to use the best camera on a smartphone and further push its capabilities by attaching high quality lenses onto it.
Thus this project came to life!
I've tried variety of lenses from different brands such as @moment , @zeisscameralenses, @apexel.lens and I ran into a few complications on the way.
🟡 Zeiss EXOLens were very sharp, but the vignetting on the Wide Angle lens required me to crop 1.2x to remove the dark corners. The 56mm Portrait lens worked amazingly well with exceptional image quality.
🟡 Apexel Lens were hit or miss. 2x Telephoto had very minor vignette and the Macro Lens worked wonders. However, the 16mm ultra wide was not usable.
🟢 However, long story short - @Moment lenses worked the best with the S22 Ultra. No vignetting and a great balance in terms of image quality and weight. May not be as sharp as the Zeiss EXOLens, but still performed really well.
So I ended up 3D Printing the M Mount, used a dremel to widen the hole on @Samsungau Hard Case and viola, it worked!
On a side note, I truly hope @moment reconsider and continue supporting Samsung phones.
They camera technology is pretty insane and would compliment really well with some good quality lenses.
I cannot wait to show case some of the images I've taken with this setup!
