Hi,  My new phone is great, but every couple of days my phone does not connect to the network properly after leaving wi-fi.  I can restore the 4G by cycling through flight mode, but this is isn't practical and it's normally hours before I notice.

I have read that i'm not unique with this problem, however.  I have rebooted the phone, which didn't resolve it.  Updated what I can, no joy.  Today I reset the APN in the hope it works so will see.  Others have had to put their sim in the 2nd slot/micro-sd slot, but i'm using that.

Keen to hear if anyone has a fix as i'm sadly deflated by the lackluster fuzzy feeling of my first new phone in years...  Thanks.

Hi, sorry to hear that your S20 FE 5G is having this issue. Here are a few steps I would recommend trying so see if this helps:

- Reset your network settings: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. Please note that you will have to register your WiFi again after resetting.

- Check that you are connected to the correct network operator: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators > toggle off Select automatically. Select the network which you are with.

- Check if you have power saving mode on, and what settings you have toggled on. For more information please see here: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/power-saving-mode/

Let us know if any of this helps!

Hi,

I seem to have solved this by manually entering the APN settings applicable to my carrier.  The defaults seemed to be only somewhat compatible with the phone.

If it happens again, i'll add this further, but after a week it's been OK.
