Experiencing 5G stability issues using an ESIM with Optus with another physical SIM card on an S21+ (SM-G996B XSA)?

When I have my Telstra SIM 1 enabled and my Optus ESIM enabled for the second SIM, Optus does not lock on to 5G, it's really 4G with the 5G symbol flickering:

When I disable SIM 1 (Telstra), Optus 5G is rock solid on the ESIM on its own:

I'm in a great signal area and this isn't specific to this site. Happens at all 5G Optus sites that I have tested. I have tried resetting network settings, deleted the ESIM and got sent a new one and updated to the three last software updates. Nothing seems to change.

Hi @jaydos, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Are you able to send us an Error Report via the Samsung Members app on your phone so that we can look into this for you? I recommend sending error reports within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring to increase the chance of the error report detecting any issues.

To do this:

Samsung Members > Get Help > Error Reports > Network/Wi-Fi > Detail issue and frequncy > tick 'send log data' > send

These error reports go to our team for analysis and help in identifying any trending issues that may be occurring. Once your report has been assessed, you will receive a response from our team which can be viewed from the in-app notification bell.

I didn't think samsung supports 5G in a dual sim configuration (esim/nano sim), in Australia.

Only 1 can access 5G, at least from my own testing with the S21Ultra

This is what I get when I try nano sim & esim together.

Only 1 can be assigned 5G, and the phone will usually set which ever you select to use 5G, as the default data sim, the other sim will be set to 4GScreenshot_20210617-181722_Call settings_4708.pngScreenshot_20210617-181753_Call settings_4710.png

That's correct. The phone only supports one 5G SIM at a time. That's not the problem I have. If I select 5G for the ESIM, which changes SIM 1 to 4G, the ESIM doesn't lock onto 5G properly. Switching back to the preferred mobile data of SIM 1 with 5G has no issues. The ESIM works on 5G properly when SIM 1 is disabled just not when SIM 1 is enabled also.

Oh, sorry I misunderstood.
