After the update from 2 days ago, the phone heats up after about 5 to 10 minutes of use and is very hot to touch. I've already lodged an error report after the very helpful live chat agent Geraldine wasn't able to resolve.
I've put the phone on power saving mode, put apps to sleep, turned off 5G and NFC for now. It still heats up but is better than before.
Not the best start to 2022...!

Sounds like you may have to take your device in to be looked at @J0yy0

Agree Jodsta. I still have an error report with Samsung, which they haven't responded to. Will chase that tomorrow

Hopefully all goes well for you.

This isn't unexpected since the factory reset leaves in place the update from December which is causing the heat up.

When the phone receives new updates it'll get heated as the OS has to get used to it, after a few days, the phone will automatically cool down and there will be no overheat issue!

If Samsung moderator is seeing this, can you please suggest an option for software to be rolled back to previous version?
This is the second Samsung phone I've had where the monthly software update caused major instability or made it unusable. It would have been good to be able to roll back to the previous working version instead of having to put up with such a major disruption! This is basic industry practice 😡

Good afternoon @J0yy0, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated by the research and development team. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > Overheating > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

Hi, I already did that on 1/1 and am waiting for a response. I followed up this morning but was told they have 2 business days as SLAs, so I'm still waiting
