Hi all, the green/pink line appeared during august 2024 after firmware ota. And now the saber line increased to more than 10 lines..!
Brougth to samsung sc checked and being told screen replacement cost rm1200+, this is really unacceptable!
After online survey and finally i got a advices by lowyat forum member to file e-tribunal claim to get a free replacement of the screen. Hope this will solve the issue asap, thanks in advance!

Hi Kakukang,

This is a frustrating issue, and you’re not alone as many Galaxy S22 Ultra users have reported similar green/pink line problems, often after a software update. Here’s what you can do:

1️⃣ Check If Samsung Offers a Free Replacement

📌 Some areas have a free screen replacement program for this issue. Before spending money, contact Samsung Support and ask if your device is eligible. You can:

Visit a Samsung Service Center and insist on checking for any warranty or free repair program.

Call Samsung’s customer service and mention that many users faced this after an OTA update.

Some users have managed to get free repairs by escalating their case to Samsung higher-ups.

2️⃣ If Samsung Refuses, Consider Filing an E-Tribunal Claim

Since you mentioned the e-Tribunal (Malaysia’s Consumer Claims Tribunal), this could be a good move if:

The issue happened after a software update (not due to accidental damage).

Samsung refuses to acknowledge it as a manufacturing defect:

📝 Steps to File a Claim:

1. Gather proof (photos, receipts, chat logs with Samsung).

2. File your case online via Malaysia’s e-Tribunal portal.

3. Present your case during the tribunal hearing (usually online).

🚀 If successful, you could get a free repair or compensation!

3️⃣ Alternative Options

🔹 Third-Party Repair – If a free repair isn’t possible, some third-party shops offer cheaper OLED replacements (RM600-RM900). Just make sure they use original parts.

🔹 Trade-In for a New Phone - If repair costs are too high, check Samsung’s trade-in deals. They sometimes accept faulty screens with decent trade-in value.

4️⃣ Final Advice

✔ Step 1: First, push Samsung for a free replacement. Many users have succeeded.

✔ Step 2: If they refuse, consider the e-Tribunal claim.

✔ Step 3: If nothing works, compare repair vs. trade-in options.

Hope this will help you! 💪
