My movies are slightly lagging while using video players like VLC. The lag doesn't occur only when I'm using the Samsung default video player. What should I do?

Could be the app doesn't support the video quality your phone has, the video player on Samsung should be sufficient if you merely wanting to view and edit the video.

Hey @SHADOW1997

Thanks for reaching out. I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Kind Regards,
SamsungClaudette

If video is fine with the Samsung native app, then you would be best to reach out to the devs of VLC.

Well it's not only VLC. All video players except samsung default player are experiencing lag. That seems like a software issue to me.

Fair enough. Strange that the native app is fine though.

Definately send through the error report and log file as recommended by @SamsungClaudette

Try enabling hardware acceleration if the app supports it

Go to Settings in VLC, you sill see there's a Setting for Hardware Acceleration there.
