My S23 Ultra, which is one and a half years old, got this bright bar on the left side of the front camera. Used to be just a flicker. Now, it is permanent. Only goes away when the phone is turned off or sleeping. I've hardly ever used it because I have a three-year old A72 that I use as a default phone. I bought the S23 Ultra to be my back up phone. In fact, the first year of its life, it was turned off most of the time. It was just 4 months ago that I constantly use it but even then, only at night. And no, it didn't fell or something like that.
I've done all the basic troubleshooting to no avail. I'm going to send it to a service center day after tomorrow to find out what can be done. I'm not holding my breath though, that this issue will be resolved without me paying for repairs. Because yes, it is already out of warranty. Honestly, I'm having second thoughts to paying more for a phone that's supposed to be the best just because of an issue that is not my doing.
It's just frustrating that for its exorbitant price, I was not expecting this. I was really expecting quality. That I will be able to use it for at least 3 or 4 years. It is supposed to be a premium phone, for God's sake....

Really disappointing, Samsung...

I found a solution, it looks like a samsung panel problem, if you change your screen motion smoothness from adaptive to standard then it goes away, battery saving mode also works as it changes that option automatically as well
