Samsung Note AI Transcription not working

Hi guys,

I have been trying to use the new AI features with samsung galaxy S22+ on the latest update. The features work pretty well in voice recorder, it transcribes and summarises the meeting. However, when I hit the 'add to samsung notes' button, a popup saying 'file corrupted or not supported' comes up. It still creates a new note with just the audio file attached only.

So I tried the other way to record and transcribe directly all in samsung note. However, after the recording, it doesn't give me any option to transcribe as seen in some of the promotion videos. I have made sure the ai features are turned on in settings. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same with S24U. What I do is to just copy the transcribed text and paste it on my notes. Hopefully, this will be updated in the future. 🤞

This is definitely a bug then. I thought it could have been just me with a older model. But given that this is part of a package of AI features and newer models experiencing the same issue, it probably a wider spread issue then.

As per Advanced Intelligence on Galaxy AI, Transcripts are only available for Voice Recorder and not on Notes.

Maybe we just haven't got that feature yet, as it shows a fold 6 doing it. However, being able to do it in voice recorder and then transferring it to notes should be working.

Just got an update for the Voice Recorder today. I tried the Transribe but still the same for Samsung Notes. However, you can Share it to other apps with the recording and transcript. Not sure if it's part of the update but I just tried it today. 😊

Oh I got the same update. But they did say it will be part of the next update for Samsung notes. So it probably not the voice record that causing the issue.

Can confirm the same problem trying to move a transcribed summary from voice recorder to Samsung notes on the Galaxy tab S9. Looks like I'm not alone. Hopefully it's addressed soon this is such an amazing feature. Aside from a few misses on words depending if the speaker has an accent or not the transcription is great. I love the time stamps in the summary. Just REALLY need to be able to get that stuff over to notes.

An update from Samsung team. They have been very responsive.


"Based on the advice from our research and development team, a fix has been implemented for this issue. It will be provided in an upcoming application update for Samsung Notes. Please ensure to update the application from the Galaxy Store when the update is made available."
