Galaxy S
Just a month after the warranty expired (one year after purchase), a green line and a white patch appeared on our Samsung S22 Ultra. The device is maintained with extreme care with no physical/water damage. After a quick Google search, realised that many flagship devices are affected by the same issue. When reached out to the customer services about this, they sent pre recorded messages that suggests extensive charges just to check for the issue.
Samsung is responding to this cases by case. By right, they should take accountability and recall affected devices or at the minimum offer free repair services.
They charge 80 dollars to check for the issue and 400 dollars for a screen replacement. the poor product quality and the worse the poor service truly undermines customer's trust in their brand and service. My husband has been a loyal customer for the past 6 years. Now we would think twice before purchasing any Samsung device.
Samsung has to step up if they want to keep their loyal customer base.

Galaxy Sheat generated inside phone + using phone case will increase your chance getting vertical line, vertical line isn't cause by dropping the phone, however i agree water damage can cause break your screen but i know most people keep out their phone far from water
so if you charge your phone while keep using phone case or update your phone when using phone case, it may increase the odd vertical line to appear
phone case is a must + additional protection but i recommend put out that before you charge your phone or update your phone
but it's already appear so yea, my message for those who still have S or Z series w/o vertical line, please don't use phone case when you charge your phone or update your phone as the heat trapped by your phone case
but i love to see, now you think twice before buy samsung product i mean there are other android brand you can purchase, i am A series user and this vertical line problem is rare in A series, that's why i prefer A series for now
