Galaxy SHello Zhinc,
Thanks for letting us know here about your experience with your Samsung Galaxy S23+ and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live having issues when connecting to your car Bluetooth, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused you.
Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solutions, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps (Android Auto and or Toyota Audio) are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order:
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
While it takes time to connect your devices to your Toyota Audio, it has something to do with the initialization or familiarization process (car kit’s design concept). So, we appreciate your patience in this regard.
In order to find out the root cause of the problem, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:
Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.
Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.
Step 3. Select Symptom category "Bluetooth".
Step 4. Describe the problem in details and SEND.

Galaxy SHey Zhinc!
I get it, it can be frustrating when pairing takes a while.
Here are some reasons why:
- While widely used, Bluetooth is still an imperfect medium. It is very prone to interference, which might be causing issues.
- Bluetooth tends to cut off even with minimal movement.
- Metallic stickers or covers may also be interfering with the Bluetooth connection.
As for the Toyota Audio issue, it must be because the two devices do not share the same Bluetooth codec. As you know, your Galaxy S23+ comes with Bluetooth 5.3 support. The delay might be due to your phone figuring out which codec to use with your Toyota Audio.
But I'd like to follow up - did you end up connecting your device?
