I need help setting up send emails in Outlook on my new Samsung S20. Recently upgraded from $150, six year old Huawei.  Old cheap phone worked fine for email!! Brand new expensive Samsung I can receive but not send Outlook mail. Also tried setting up in generic mail app. For both I'm receiving message account cannot be verified, account or password is wrong. [They are correct - have checked with provider on webmail] Have checked IMAP & SMTP settings for my provider. I'm at my with end- really don't want to be forced to send mail only from my desk top!@ Whats the point over this fancy phone if I can't send mail!!!

You can try using the Gmail app and actually add your Hotmail/Outlook account, also is the App itself completely updated and do you have wifi only settings on ?

Had the same issue with Gmail. All passwords are correct, I can log in to webmail and Microsoft. Following provider's instructions on mail settings.Looking at posts for trusting websites. Is there someone I can call or take my phone to, for help?

Most likely there is a communication problem between Outlook and your outgoing mail server, so the email is stuck in Outbox because Outlook can't connect to your mail server to send it. ... – check with your email address provider and make sure your mail server settings are up to date.
