Bruv, best way is to install ur network app on your new phone, and get your e sim through that app..
I know, it would be much easier if u can just copy, but it is what it is!

A slow alternative is to contact your internet service.

Australia, and many other countries don't have the ability to do this.

Personally, I've only seen the option on Korean and US models.

Left image is from an Australian device.
Right image is from a Korean device.

For what ever reason (probably carriers restrictions) we currently don't get the tool needed to transfer an esim.Screenshot_20240128_145902_Call settings_1000021814_1706414394.png1706414592174.jpg

I have the Korean on mine because I am in the US but it is not working still with Optus eSim.

I think both devices need to support it.
So one devices is American and the other Australian?
As I suggested earlier, it's either the lack of support in the Aus phone, or a carrier restriction here in Aus.

I'm not sure of any other legit ways to do it, other than via the Optus app, as suggested by @Falgun

:Edit if you bought the US model, can you let me know how you go with mmWave when you get back to Australia, especially if you're in or near Sydney where Optus has some mmWave sites running. Not sure about other states.

I am not in Aus yet, until then. However, the Optus app is another trouble. I chatted with their agents, like 3-4 of them but could not get any headway.

Optus and similar is problematic.

Have to go in store and get a new esim card to scan every time you move to a new phone or you accidentally reset your phone and not keep the phone plan.

You are going be out of luck unless one of the agents basically emails you a sim, and they won't always do it
