Home screen personalization is one of the many ways to show-off your Samsung phone, making it uniquely "YOU". In my next few posts, I'll be sharing a few easy ways to make your Home screens pop. Here's the first part of this series:
1. Wallpapers or Themes
Applying a wallpaper or theme is the easiest way to personalize the Home screen. Keep it fresh by making periodical changes - personally, I do it on a monthly basis so that it doesn't get boring and I have something new to look at all the time.
Tip: For Galaxy Z Fold users - turn off "Cover screen mirroring" in the Home screen settings and then apply two different wallpapers. Enjoy a nice surprise everytime you switch screens!
Bonus Tip: Did you know that you can view the wallpaper before downloading? Simply tap the image above the "Before You buy" section.
2. Icons
Selecting a color palette was a recent addition to the One UI software. Looking for something more funky or creative? Download a separate icon set in the Galaxy Themes app then mix and match to your heart's desire!
Note: Themes come preloaded with its own icons that may not be changeable.
Tip: Choose a color palette that matches (or compliments) the most eye catching color of your wallpaper to give your Home screen an extra oomph!
3. App layout
Adjusting the layout of applications is another layer of personalization not all people are keen to doing due to the time-consuming nature of organizing. Curate frequently used apps in the Home screen and keep the app drawer in order by using folders - this will eventually aid productivity and multitasking as it eliminates manual searching.
