Any error message showing on your car? Like unrecognised USB etc. Or just nothing happens when you plugin your phone?

Try using the official cable that comes with your phone. Also check if there's any android auto update in your phone.

It appears to connect but drops out when I click on 'ok' or 'manage' on the car screen (after the phone says continue setup on the car screen). Have all updates installed. Have tried a couple of different cables.

Did you just recently moved to z flip4? Did you use smart switch to transfer you data? Seems you android auto is crashing.  Not sure if this will solve your issue, but maybe try clearing the following apps data and try again.

Just go to your settings > app and clear the cache and data for the following.

  • Google Play Services
  • Android Auto

Then reboot your phone.

Have had the phone for a few months but this is first time I have tried to connect to Android Auto. Yes I did use Smart Switch.
I have cleared cache & data for Android Auto & Play Services & rebooted- same issue.

Hey @Jabiru10

Thanks for reaching out. I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Kind Regards,

I noticed the same in my Hyundai. It looks like the android auto in the car doesn't work with the newest android flavours. This is related to the car manufacturer and not the app in the phone itself.

Thanks for that. Can I check compatability somewhere?

Tbh wasn't able to find one. Intruded everything from the cache clear to everything to later then understand that this is an OS incompatibility issue.
