Hi there

My Galaxy Z Fold 4's WiFi, Bluetooth and hot spot is not turning on. When I try to turn it on, a light blue shaded box appears but does not turn on. I have restarted it multiple times but still has not worked. Have also reset WiFi /Bluetooth set to no avail.

Please advise how to fix it? Thanks

I'm afraid this is an issue within the device itself.

The flex cable that connects the network connection has frayed. This results in a malfunction of the wifi, Bluetooth (and hotspot).

You will need to get it sent in to be fixed.

This happened to me. My wifi died, and eventually my Bluetooth died too.

All the best.

That sux...will do a hard factory reset and if that fails will take it in for repair..... Does it take long to get repaired

Just depends I think but you can go online to your Samsung account and do a service request. That will get the ball rolling.

Just adding onto this, our team believes that all the functions not turning on is indicating a hardware issue with the CTC (flex cable).

We would recommend that you visit a Service Centre.

Below is a link to find the nearest Samsung Support Centre to you, which also gives you an option to book with a technician.

To get to recovery mode:

- Turn off phone

- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously

- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears

- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)

- Use power button to select.

- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.

Hope it helps

7. Reset your Wi-Fi connection Using ADB Commands to Fix your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

This process may work 50-60%. If you use Old Mid-range mobiles, the chances are less. But, We have a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. So, it will work. The OS can still handle background commands, and thus, the ADB commands may work.

Steps

Download the Samsung USB driver and install it on your PC.

Also, download the ADB drivers. Install it on your PC.

Enable USB Debugging Mode and OEM Unlock; you’ll find these options in Settings >>> Developer options. If you didn’t see the developer options on your settings menu, go to about >>> build number. Click on the “Build Number” row about ten times regularly to activate the “Developer Option” on your device.
