Samsung Care + is not reliable. I have been fan of Samsung ever since the Note 9 and every year after that i have been buying Samsung products, S21 ultra ,s22+, s23ultra, tab s8+, tab s9 ultra and tab s9+ and recently the z fold 5 and s24 ultra. I have also bought watches galaxy buds every year. Now recently my daily driver z fold 4 had a needed fixing, it wont open fully by just a few millimeters (approx 1mm) and the service center at megamall told me that i needed to replace the entire front screen and flex cable even though theres no issue in the display and they are charging me a minimum of 33 thousand pesos for the entire repair. Now I understand that the samsung care plus has a time limit of 1 year and i just passed the deadline by a few months but still no considerations were done???...They were offering me special promos where i can reduce the price by presenting a receipt which i recently bought a product specifically from samsung megamall so there would be about 20-30% discount on the price but my recently bought samsung device was from samsung galleria so its not honored ??? What the *** is that??? Very dissapointing!!!! My most recent after that was the tab s9 ultra but it was still not honored because the date on the receipt was late 2023. So what the *** samsung not only is your samsung care + unreliable but also your samsung loyalty packages ***. Because of this incident i am now reconsidering my current tech ecosystem and am now not recommending the fold series!!!

Well im not really a fan of fold and filp due to durability issues. Imagine how many times you flip and fold that unit, so the center mechanism will definitely give up. As to samsung care, i agree that samsung is over killing us. So what if u didnt buy in megamall still that is samsung product. Whats that proprietary by store and not as a samsung product itself. Sorry for your unwanted experience, and hoping it wont happen to me. Dont give up your ecosystem and still enjoy your galaxy experience.
