Samsung Messages app no longer pre-installed on Galaxy phones in the USA.

 Samsung has stopped pre-installing its Samsung Messages app on its phones in the USA, starting with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

 In other markets, including Canada and Europe, the company still ships its phones with Samsung Messages.

 Google might have made a deal with Android OEMs, including Samsung, to push Google Messages as the default messaging app for consistency and improving RCS.

I use older and default Samsung Messages app since I have device under 2020 and below. As of now I use Google Messages in my current device.

Samsung Messaging app will remain useful for Samsung devices under 2020.

Yes, Samsung is transitioning to Google Messages as the default texting app for the Galaxy Z Flip6, Z Fold6, and newer devices in the US. Samsung Messages will still be available for download if you prefer. This change currently affects only the US market, with no updates for other regions at this time.
