Nope it won't be that simple. The big 4 carriers are bringing out their own unified messaging app with RCS next year. The waters will be even more muddied so don't expect phone makers to do anything regarding RCS.
yeah that's gonna make it so much worse but Google is bypassing the carriers and bringing it to everyone so that's gonna help a ton and we can hope the carriers app doesn't take off at all
