Copy pasting my reply.🙂

Thank you. I'm asking because my phone's battery is not so good. I've been wanting to do a factory reset, I decided to wait it out until the update is here, then I was thinking I'll just do it then.🙂 I can't wipe cache partition because unfortunately I have no access to a PC or laptop right now. I tried using just the AKG earphones because for others it worked, it didn't.

You dont need a pc for clearing cache partition just go on recovery mode.

If you want shut down your phone then hold power button and volume button up at the same time, using power up and down vol button navigate through wipe cache partition and select it using power button and select yes and then it will do it job, after that just simply select reboot system now, i do this every after update minor/major and also i use a samsung app called galaxy app booster its from galaxy labs/ goodlock you can use fine lock if goodlock app is not supported thats all

Thank you so much for the detailed reply.. much appreciated.🙂 Unfortunately, that doesn't work on my phone. I guess it has a bug or something, based on Google and other online forums, it doesn't work on a lot of phones. Mine just turns on as usual. I've tried so many times, never worked. Watched videos on different options to clear cache partition, none worked. The single thing I haven't tried is connecting it to a PC or laptop.

Very sad to hear that yeah i think that a bug because when i update my phone to one ui 3.1 its much much more harder to get in the recovery mode, it just restarts for somewhat reason but sometimes it get in to the recovery mode, i guess its just luck but sadly this is a problem and i wish samsung will fix this

after one ui 3.1 all galaxy phones now need to connect to a pc via usb in able to acces recovery mode.
You may also use OTG usb storage device to access recovery mode.

maybe for security purposes also.

think of it nlang, manakaw man ang phone it won't be easy sa magnanakaw to do a hard reset via recovery mode. You'll still have time to locate and access your phone remotely.

I feel you.. I have a Note 20 Ultra 5g that just turned a month old. I barely use it because I'm on my iPad most of the time. I have no social media, I don't even use Spotify on it.. so it's just sitting idle most of the time but I still have to charge it once a day. I've put apps to sleep and deep sleep, limited background etc. I've followed famous YouTubers tutorials on how to improve battery. I really hope after the update and factory reset it gets better.

Thank you so much for all your advice. Have a wonderful 2022!🙂 Keep safe.
