Samsung Pay New Zealand

I have just moved from Hong Kong to NZ and always use Samsung Pay. Purchased a new phone here in NZ and says Samsung Pay not supported on this device. It's a S22 plus from the online Samsung store. 

Did I miss something that Samsung Pay doesn't work in NZ?

So if I move to a different country will Samsung pay start to work or is the device locked to NZ? So unless Samsung Pay is allowed in NZ it will never work on this device?

Currently the availability of Samsung Pay is determined by the region of the device, which is achieved by the software variation. NZ phones will use NZ software, which means the Samsung Pay will not be available even you move to another country. Hope this answers your question - Thanks, The Samsung Team
