Just had a QN90A delivered this morning. The antenna plug broke off in my hand when I plugged the cable in. Samsung say it's a 'user induced' fault. Plugging an antenna cable in is a user induced fault? Poor design and apparently a common problem. I noticed the socket was wobbly when I first plugged it in but assumed it was meant to be like that.  $5,000 of tv, now useless. Anyone had a similar problem? Samsung have wiped their hands of me.

It seems that Samsung will do anything to avoid taking responsibility for faults in their product.  Do you have any update as I am in a similar position with a set that broke after one week.  Cheers. Ant

Recently I purchased a QN85C that had the same issue. Being a mechanical fitter by trade I could tell there was manufacturing faults with the adaptor. There was inconsistent application of solder around the circumference of the adaptor with slight porosity, I also noticed there was insufficient solder on the terminal that connects to the board. I contacted Samsung advising what I had identified and  informed them on this forum as evidence there is a consistent manufacturing problem with this connector. In my initial phone call I was informed my case would be escalated to level 2, I received a call from Samsung informing me a courier would be collecting my TV and take it to the authorised repairer. The repairer replaced the board, not just the adaptor, and it was reinstalled in my home the next day at no charge. I cannot fault the sevice I received from Samsung. There are alot of people who have not had the same success, if they were able to provide the information I did maybe they would have had a different outcome. I would suggest taking the adaptor to an appliance repairer or even ask a tradie friend that can help you identify any defect. If you have that evidence for Samsung they have no reason to decline warranty. Hope this helps...

IMG_20240607_120538720.jpgThanks for posting this.  I have a similar problem with a brand new Samsung QN85C 55" TV where the aerial socket broke off within a week of installation. I have pictures of the broken aerial socket which I sent to Samsung and they sent out an engineer to check it out.  He did not examine the TV and merely took a couple of photos.  On the basis of this Samsung have declared that the problem is not covered by the warranty.  I assumed that the engineer would remove the back cover and inspect the control box properly but he did not do this.  I am loathe to take it to an external repairer in case this invalidates the warranty.  I am pursuing the matter with the retailer, Marks Electrical  .and will do so with Samsung.  Any advice from other members of the community would be helpful.

My Frame TV is 7 months old. The Antenna jack easily snapped off, with no stress on the chord rather the bend of it sitting on a shelf!? The service Tech Samsung sent mentioned this is a very common issue: " a design fault. The jack should be internal, and Samsung knows this." He mentioned it's a 3-minute low-cost fix for the broken antenna.

Rather than doing that and resolving he reported back to Samsung and they claim I need to pay $344 for its repair????

I am returning to the retailer for a full refund.

I have a QA65Ls03BaWXXY, bought it in January 2024. The one connect box is sitting in a cupboard and is rarely touched. One day we received a no signal message and found similar to your self the arial port has sheared off, the visual inspection of the piece looks like it was connected by 2 minute joins.

The repair tech took one look and said - this has been happening since Samsung changed the mother boards in the one connect box and was able to give an estimate on the spot - as its happens that often.

Which makes this a known issue that should be addressed proactively by Samsung.

On visual inspections between the other 3 Samsung TVs in the house  (2 other one connect boxes) - the piece looks to be a thiner and lower quality part.

Samsung phone tech has been following a rigid process and is somehow trying to assign responsibility of break to the user but can offer no reason as to why or how It randomly broke.

Interested to know if there is a reddit or subreddit on the issue to get the numbers of impacted - as it looks like im going to have to take this further.

Samsung will not see me again! Exactly the same issue but mine took 2 years to realise it was a faulty antenna input. Same, it was loose out of the box. 2 years of an antenna connected using their fittings is apparently a user induced fault! The TV is against a wall on a cabinet. They say the cable hanging from the connection caused the fault. What utter rubbish. The retailer can't help so I have now lodged a complaint with Consumer Protection in my state.

The atenna port broke and came out of place with ease as I was unplugging it on my Samsung frame 32 inch, 13 months after purchase. No force at all, other than usual for unplugging a cord, and the Samsung ‘voice of consumer’ team said that I “physically damaged it” from the moment I spoke to them. This part is made to fail

Could anyone provide feedback on how they handled the situation? I see the same issue reoccurring way too often for being user’s fault. I also bought the “best”Samsung tv on the market  2 years ago… an the tv aerial socket has been wobbling since day of purchase (though nothing of it, just the way tv is?) the other day whilst watching tv it fall down by itself!!! I was in shock! I we t to the shop where i bought it as is still under guarantee but apparently is considered user error!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ So now i need to contact Samsung … can anyone tell me if issue was fixed please??? I would hate to have to change tv and if I do, It won’t be Samsung for what I read…. 😡

Looks like this is very common problem with Samsung and mine socket snapped on very gentle pull. Brand new TV and second hand socket connection!!!

Not holding my breath for Samsung support on this one and will have to cough up more money to get it fixed 😤
