Ear buds and smart TV

I want to watch and listen to my Samsung smart TV with either ear buds or headphones so that I don’t disturb my partner’s sleeping. Can anyone help with suggestions as to

1 can it be done 

2 any recommendations

Yes it can be done, you can use headphones or ear buds. In my case I've to connect it manually everytime!
