Hi Samsung Team, recently I purchased your QN85A 75" TV, and overall i have been very happy with the TV.

However, one of the features I bought it for was the Game Motion Plus which would allow me to play some lower frame rate games old and new with smoother motion at the cost of a little latency. However, this feature does not seem to be working on this model of TV?

With game motion plus active, adjusting both the blur and judder reduction seems to have no change at all when playing games that are at 30fps. I have tested with PS5, PS3 and a Pi4 retro gaming set-up. All settings on the slider 0 to 10 for both Judder Reduction and Blur Reduction make no difference.

I have also seen some people comment online this is the same on the QN90A with the function not working, but other older tv models seem to work ok.

Can you please look into this as this was one feature I was very interested in and one of my deciding factors when purchasing the TV, and I was a little let down to see it makes no difference when active.

Hope to see this rectified in future firmware update.

Hi @MarkoMarky, I have no idea why none of the Samsung team has not tried to help you yet. Because no one is answering on this post, please try and DM any of the Samsung moderators and managers, they will help then. Good luck with the TV, hope it works soon.

Thanks. Yeah its an odd one. Seen quite a few people posting the same issue on samsung support pages for the QN90A as well. Seems to be an issue impacting the Neo range which is a bit of a disappointment since these are Samsungs flagship sets. Some people are really frustrated as its been like this from the launch 8 months or so ago, and they have not got any feedback so thought I would try my luck here.
Anyway, will try and raise if I don't hear anything back here.
Really like the TV, but not great if one of its key advertised features is not working.
Cheers and happy new year!

Good morning @MarkoMarky, that's odd. Are you able to try the following to adjust blur and judder:

Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture clarity settings > Auto/customise

Thanks Laura, however, while the function you mentioned here is similar, the feature I was referring to is the GAME MODE menu as per my post heading.

This is located in General > External Device Management > Game Mode Settings > Game Motion Plus Settings. I will post some images below to help guide you. You can also hold the Play/Pause button on the remote control as a short cut to game mode setting when game mode is active.

The picture clarity settings you referred to is for use outside of game mode and works perfectly fine with normal TV viewing. This working fine for me. When using Game Mode, this function is greyed out and you have the Game Motion Plus function to provide similar features without introducing severe latency, perfect for gaming.

As mentioned, there are many people online complaining of the same issue with the Neo range of TVs. Other models in the Samsung range appear to work correctly. Below is a link to a Samsung support pages where there are a number of people calling this out and complaining, but there does not appear to be any feedback yet from the team.

I hope you can follow this up with the support team to have this feature fixed as its a key reason I looked at the Samsung range and bought this TV. Thank you.

As per above, the below shows how to navigate to the Game Motion Plus Settings when using the TV in game mode. Hope this help clear up any confusion regarding which function I am referring to.

Hi Laura, I have sent an email as you requested with the required detail. The video is compressed to fit in the email and only 30fps so it is difficult to show the issue, but i hope i shows that there is no difference when adjusting judder reduction between 0 and 10.

Hope this can be looked at soon as this was an advertised feature I was very keen on and one of the reasons I bought this TV. At first I was unsure if it was something I did wrong, but after seeing many articles online highlighting this issue, I realised it was not only myself and why I raised here. Thanks.
