DiscussionI am trying to gauge interest amount of interest in people who have fallen foul to the trade in issues with Asurion and Samsung
They technically have stolen my device since they have confirmed receipt but not paid me for it based on the contract of the trade in
Samsung blames Asurion because they are a separate entity but technically when we are buying products from Samsung with the ideas of trading-in there must be some accountability, and they won't do anything if nothing is escalated
Not only for the actual trade-in value but also for the time we spend chasing them for our money after

DiscussionSamsung have sided with the scam company Asurion, and said the screen had been replaced with an unofficial replacement. They won't provide proof, and I know there isn't any. Because the screen has never been replaced! But they are adamant in sticking to this *** of a story and have closed the ticket on me multiple times.
So unfortunately us little guys lose again.
I can't afford to buy another Samsung knowing this is the case. And I don't think I will, as I wouldn't want to support a company who condones corporate scam behaviour. So unfortunately this is the end of my fight unless a class action or ACA interview happens 😔

DiscussionI recently did a samsung trade up for my samsung galaxy S23 utra in almost pristine condition, I have several photos of the device prior to sending. It was purchased directly from samsung store one year ago. I was unfortunate to receive an email from Asurion that my $795 trade value had been reduced to $185!? There is no details in their report whatsoever and I can't fathom what damage on the phone would cause a $580 reduction.
(I am 100% certain their wasn't cracks or scratches on the device, but I can't even imagine a repair costing this much!? Unless it arrived in pieces)
I honestly feel like I've been robbed... and would of much rather second hand market sold the device or gave it to my elderly mother. I've tried to reach out to asurion but no luck as of yet. To add to the pain this was for a trade up I made in January and received my $185 back 2 months later in late March/Today alongside the email. The device was sent back in original packaging sealed and padded by AusPost with tracking.
I want to avoid going to the ACCC and small claims court but I am not willing to let this slide either.
I'm really disappointed and have been a massive samsung advocate, pretty much shilling their products to friends, after this experience. Never again.

DiscussionFirst I asked samsung and asurion to return my device as originally they stated in the contract that if I disagreed I have the option to take off the trade in deal. I indicated they need to return it in the condition I gave it (had photos and a video taken at auspost before putting it in the packaging and posting so there was little ambiguity. I asap said that I needed their photos to prove the damage they claimed.
I then lodged with credit card with all the emails and photos indicating they have dishonoured the deal and charged for services and goods they did not provide to me even waybpast the due date and indicating they won't provide it either.
Within 24 hours they quickly made a deposit then contacted me saying "your device has damage but in this instance we will agree to ...... "
I did tell them to stop the lies and send me propf of damage but never heard again.
Even wrote to their CEO on the email they advertise (I'm sure it is not their CEO reading it - may be no one does just leaves it to make people feel happy.
I think we need to complain as a group. Surely they rob 100 more customers per each one who posts here and 1000 more for each one who gets the full amount back.

DiscussionI traded in my perfect condition s22 Ultra for $650 credit. Mailed it to Samsung with the return fedex label provided by Samsung. They said they received a broken A23 in non-working condition with broken screen. They gave me zero credit and charged me $650 to my debit card. They stole my perfect condition S22 Ultra and $650 cash, total value of about $1300. Samsung has refused to assist and the customer service rep hung up on me. I will never buy another Samsung product after this experience. If there is a class action lawsuit being filed against Samsung for negligent business practices on their trade in program i would be in 100%. The phones all go to the same address so the FedEx guys know there is a clean wiped cell phone in every box being delivered to that address and steal them. This is a problem with Samsung's trade in procedure. I did exactly what I was instructed to do by Samsung. Feeling pissed about the whole situation. Beware of Samsungs Trade-in procedures and horrible customer service. If there is a class action lawsuit being formed im 100% in.

DiscussionPre ordered Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 512gb. Trade in my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512gb. Asurion immediately took $795 from my credit card. Asurion received my set on 06 02 2024.
I've contacted Samsung customer support more than 50 times and every time they have escalated my complaint. It has been escalated so high it might have reached to the OUTER SPACE.
Received an email from Samsung Asurion on 12 04 2024 mentioned that my set matches the criteria for Trade-Up and full refund would appear to my credit card account within 5 business days.
Have not received the refund yet. What should I do now?
