Galaxy AThere should be a way to pause stepping on your wearable when you KNOW you're going to be getting tagged for extra steps (driving, typing, etc) and skew the health app!
I really want to use the information my watch is capable of giving me, but it's horribly OVERcounting my steps when I'm at work typing, on my motorcycle (bumps), or even just driving.
A simple pause function would be awesome!!!!

Galaxy AHi DeannaS,
Please follow the below steps and get back to us with the results.
The Galaxy Watch counts the number of steps you have taken and measures the distance traveled. You can set the step target and add an alarm also by following the below steps.
Setting the step target
1. Tap three dots> Settings.
2. Tap Step target.
3. Rotate the bezel to set the target and tap DONE.
Setting the alarm
To receive an alarm for reaching a target, tap three dots> Settings and tap the Notifications switch to activate it.

Galaxy AHey DeannaS,
Please make sure that the Samsung Health app and the watch are up to date to the latest version.
You can also uninstall and reinstall the Samsung Health app on your phone and check the problem.
Environmental and skin conditions may affect how well the steps are recorded.
The step count depends on hand movement. So it will count the steps when there is a hand movement.
For example, steps may not be recorded when pushing a lawnmower or cart because your hands are not moving. The watch is intended to calculate real step counts while walking.
Walk naturally without looking at the watch or your shoulders, elbow and wrist being raised. When you walk looking at the watch, the accelerometer will not properly measure your steps taken, distance traveled, or even calories burned.
The step count may not increase immediately when walking or exercising due to the step count algorithm. When the algorithm detects 10 continuous steps, the algorithm starts to count your steps taken and updates the step count.

Galaxy AWhat is this for ? It doesn't solve the " driving " problem . I don't get it. What do you want. That we put a target.. so when it goes up driving I will delete the steps ? That way I will never know how much steps I actually have .

Galaxy AYou know what. If we block the " automatic exercise detection " it will stop counting. Steps and everything! But u should press the walking mode everytime you walk from your desk. ...
Mmmm that would be so bad .. considering the alternatives.
Ps. And yes. I want the "I'm driving " botton too. So the watch will block the automatic detention.
Hey guys I'm literally telling you how to design the app. !
